  1. 07:00

    Morning

Bedroom lights rise gently with the blinds, the bathroom floor is already warm, the garden is watered and the radio comes on as you walk into the kitchen.

  2. 08:30

    Leaving

One tap on the way out: lights off, heating down to eco, alarm set, and the garage door and gate open and close behind you.

  3. 13:00

    While you’re out

The house looks after itself: blinds shade the sunny rooms, the solar panels fill the battery and the cameras keep watch — with an alert on your phone if anyone rings.

  4. 17:30

    Coming home

As you turn into the drive the gate and garage open, the car starts charging from the sun, the lights welcome you and your playlist follows you in.

  5. 20:00

    Film night

The lights dim to a soft glow, the blinds close, the TV and cinema sound come on together, and the outside cameras keep watch.

  6. 23:00

    Goodnight

A long press by the bed switches the whole house off, sets the alarm, lowers the heating, charges the car on the cheap overnight rate and leaves a soft night-light on the landing.

One system, every room

Loxone links everything in your home to one brain — the Miniserver — so lighting, heating, blinds, music and security work together instead of competing for your attention.

Family outside an energy-efficient smart home

Energy

Solar, battery and EV charging managed together, so you use more of your own power and pay less for the rest.

Keypad and NFC entry at a front door

Access

Video intercom, NFC and code entry, and gates you can open from anywhere — with a log of who came and went.

Discreet smart-home security camera

Security

Texecom-integrated alarm, cameras, smoke and leak sensors. If something happens, the house reacts and tells you straight away.

Why Loxone

One system. One app.

Most smart homes are a collection of gadgets, each with its own app. A Loxone home is designed as one system from the start: a Miniserver in the plant cupboard, wired sensors and switches in every room, and one app for the whole family.

It keeps working without the internet, needs no subscription, and grows with you — add a room, a pool or an EV charger and it simply joins in.

Every LCS home includes

  • One app for the whole home
  • Works without Wi-Fi or the internet
  • Proper switches anyone can use
  • No monthly subscriptions
  • Room for future extensions
  • Calendar modes for holidays, time away, Shabbat and Yom Tov
  • Takeover and upgrade of existing systems

How it fits together

Every LCS home runs on one Loxone Miniserver, wired to the devices in each room and integrated with the systems you already specify. Here is a typical scheme.

Your build programme

Where we fit into your build

Six typical stages, planned around your programme so the trades never wait for us.

  1. 01

    Design

Survey, scheme design, drawings and a cable schedule agreed with you.

You: Share plans early — before first fix.

  2. 02

    First fix

Your electrician runs cables to our schedule; we visit to check before plastering.

You: Leave runs labelled and accessible at the board.

  3. 03

    Panel build

We build, label and pre-program the control panel in our workshop.

You: Allow space at the distribution board as drawn.

  4. 04

    Second fix

Switches, sensors and devices fitted; the panel installed and terminated.

You: Decoration finished in the areas being fitted.

  5. 05

    Commissioning

Every circuit, scene and integration tested and tuned on site.

You: Power, heating and network live.

  6. 06

    Handover and aftercare

App set-up, training for the family, documentation and ongoing remote support.

You: Introduce us to the homeowner.

For developers

Apartment blocks and developments

Residential automation only adds value when it improves everyday living and cuts the hidden cost of running the building. We design schemes that feel premium to buyers and stay easy for owners and managers to run — from a single villa to a whole apartment block.

Smart home in every apartment

A Loxone Miniserver per apartment for lighting, shading, climate, audio and security — intuitive for residents from day one, with nothing for building management to configure.

Heating, UFH and ventilation

Heating, cooling, underfloor heating and demand-led ventilation for comfort with lower energy use and steadier indoor conditions.

Access and video intercom

Main entrances, resident permissions, visitor and delivery handling, video intercom and remote unlocking where appropriate.

Networking and CCTV

UniFi networking, Wi-Fi and CCTV across the building for reliable connectivity, better shared-area coverage and simpler support.

Leak detection and water protection

Leak sensors, automatic shut-off and pump monitoring to protect expensive interiors and communal areas.

Shared-area energy and dashboards

Corridors, lobbies, gyms and car parks run on occupancy and schedules, with one dashboard for alarms, faults and utility use.

FAQ

Questions homeowners ask

How much does a Loxone smart home cost?

It depends on the size of the home and what you want to control. A focused system for lighting and heating costs far less than whole-home automation with audio, shading and security. After a survey we give you a fixed, itemised quote — and you can start with the essentials and add more later.

Is it better for a new build or a renovation?

New builds and major renovations are ideal because we can run cables before the walls are finished. In existing homes, Loxone’s wireless Air range lets us add rooms and devices with very little disruption.

Does it need Wi-Fi or the internet to work?

No. The Miniserver runs everything locally, so lights, heating and switches keep working if the broadband goes down. The internet is only needed for remote access from your phone.

What happens if LCS isn’t available?

Your system is programmed in Loxone’s standard Config software and the project file is yours. Any certified Loxone partner can support it — although our remote support and maintenance plans mean you rarely need to look elsewhere.

Can it work with my alarm and my insurance?

Yes. We install Texecom intruder alarms to the grade your insurer requires and integrate them with Loxone, so arming, lighting and blinds work together while the alarm itself stays independently certified.

How long does installation take?

A typical home takes a few weeks from first fix to handover, planned around your builder’s programme. We commission and test everything, then show the whole family how to use it.

Can it run Shabbat and Yom Tov modes?

Yes. Lighting, heating and appliances follow a schedule you set in advance, timed automatically from local sunset, so nothing needs touching. Many of our families use it every week.

Can it control my existing heating, audio or gates?

Usually, yes. We regularly take over and upgrade existing systems — boilers, heat pumps, underfloor heating, audio, gates and garage doors — so you don’t have to start from scratch.
