central HMI

LCS provides control in every building on the Weizmann Institute campus — lighting, HVAC, electricity, building control, access control and energy metering — all monitored through a central HMI (human–machine interface) with analysis and reporting at different levels according to authorisation.

The Immunisation laboratory

The Immunisation lab is the largest research structure in the Middle East for clinical research. The control project demanded the highest level of skill and precision while integrating with the facility’s other control systems.

  • About 5,000 control points
  • About 100 controllers on TCP/IP over the Ethernet network
  • Controlled through the HMI PCIM system
  • Lighting, HVAC, electricity, access control and energy counters

Pre-clinical research building

A control system for the institute’s advanced pre-clinical research building — a facility where conditions must be held precisely, around the clock.

  • Animal rooms, a bat laboratory and behaviour rooms
  • Electron microscope and MRI suites
  • Wash rooms, general laboratories, administration and offices
  • 110 m² of cold rooms and ancillary spaces
  • A technical floor dense with supporting systems
